AbstractAbstract This paper describes the algorithm for context-based decision support in industry to achieve optimization of energy consumption. The proposed approach is based on Case-based Reasoning and probabilistic analysis and implements the support for immediate reaction, which is based on the paradigm of intelligent decision support systems. The proposed algorithm envisages the elimination of deviations on normal (desired) energy consumption and was tested in energy intensive industry scenario using real data. The research work here presented was developed in the context of LifeSaver project and results obtained are adequate for projectÕs objectives in the field of decision support for immediate reaction and answer to industrial requirements.
