AbstractKnowledge and its retention affect strongly the competitiveness of a company. Because of rising fluctuation, the timely planned and executed transfer of knowledge between employees and their succeeding colleagues makes a heavy impact on the success and the efficiency of the knowledge retention. This paper bases on previous work in this field and shows how the dynamics in knowledge prioritization affects the priority rank of knowledge elements that are prioritized for an upcoming knowledge transfer. The work was done within a research project that was executed in cooperation with two industry companies from the German investment goods industry.
